In the UK we are spending a second Easter in lockdown although we are allowed to meet in groups of up to six people outside, hopefully it won’t be too chilly! Many of us are planning to make our homes feel a bit more special with some Easter decorations to cheer us up. This paper cherry blossom is handmade from eco-friendly paper, it is available in pale and dark pink and the different shades look beautiful mixed together in an arrangement.
The cherry blossom also compliments our other paper flowers featured here with a paper anemone, rose & eucalyptus.
If I find some time over Easter, I would love to be able to paint some eggs. These stunning hand painted eggs are by Clare Therese.
They are based on ‘Pysanka’, a Ukrainian Easter egg traditionally decorated using beeswax and a wax resist method.
A really lovely way to display some handmade Easter eggs is to put some branches in a vase to create an ‘Easter egg tree’. This one above from the House that Lars Built has handmade pom poms as eggs.
A Spring Wreath makes another beautiful Easter decoration, this one is made with paper cherry blossom, hellebore and ivy.
For those with family far away, it will not be possible to meet up at Easter. Although people don’t send Easter cards as much nowadays, a personal notecard is always a lovely things to receive at any time of year. These embroidered notecards are handmade by designer Sarah Becvar and are a beautiful way to let someone know you are thinking of them.
Wishing you a very Happy Easter.
